I send this message in my capacity as the Patron of the Sri Lankan International School, Jeddah (SLISJ).
It is my privilege to pen down a message to the annual school magazine with immense pleasure. The school magazine is a platform for the students to bring-forth their creative mind and inventiveness.
The SLISJ provides an excellent platform to provide a glance of the multifarious all round developmental activities throughout the year. It is extremely heartening to note that the school in its relentless quest for excellence and achievement is embracing progressive changes in all aspects of education, sports and co-curricular activities. The school provides a healthy environment in nurturing creativity, competitiveness and teamwork amongst its learners.
Fortunately, everyone has now come to realize the truth that education means much more than merely acquiring knowledge. It is acquisition of knowledge & skills, building character and improving employability of our young talent.
With a firm resolve of inculcating a balance of traditional values and modern dynamisms, the school has been successful in producing confident, open minded and responsible students ready to take on the role of socially productive citizens. It provides an ideal opportunity to the young prolific minds to put forth their creativity, aspirations and talent through worthy and enjoyable contributions. It also reflects the singular spirit and achievements in multitudinous areas.
I wish the school the very best in all its future endeavours and am certain that Sri Lankan International School, will continue to achieve new milestones with dedication, perseverance and motivation. I also wish the Board of Management of the school, the Principal, Staff, Children and Parents and its well-wishers a successful continued journey towards its desired destination.
